Derek has a talent for interpreting data and devising plans to solve problems. He believes better operational and financial decisions can be made with a focus on the right information and his career has always focused on financial analysis and how businesses can use data to drive positive financial results.
He first became interested in renewable energy as a graduate student at the University of Nebraska when he focused on how the public and private sectors can work together to solve the world’s energy problems. By continuing to meld the worlds of public and private sectors with Sandhills Energy, Derek remains committed to leveraging his data analysis expertise to advocate for renewable energy initiatives.
