Alliance, NE — December 13, 2024
Sandhills Energy (SE) has partnered with the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) to bring its highly sought-after solar training program to Alliance this January. This opportunity, sponsored by Sandhills Energy, allows individuals interested in renewable energy to gain the knowledge to qualify and sit for the PV Associate exam to earn their NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Professionals) PV Associate credential.
This 32-hour comprehensive training course, taught by a certified MREA instructor, provides foundational skills in photovoltaic (PV) solar systems and is designed for anyone eager to enter the renewable energy field – no prior experience or prerequisites required. Participants will gain critical knowledge about solar energy systems and their design, installation, and maintenance, equipping them for future careers in the rapidly growing clean energy sector.
The training is part of the SE Municipal Solar Community Benefit Plan and reflects a commitment to expanding solar energy knowledge and accessibility throughout the region.
“As the solar industry expands, the demand for skilled professionals with hands-on experience in solar panel installation and operation has never been greater,” says Eric Johnson, President of Sandhills Energy. “Courses like this, taught by an MREA instructor, are crucial for educating the future leaders who will drive the solar industry forward.”
The course fee is $412 per participant, heavily subsidized to make this opportunity more accessible; the actual cost of the training is valued at $1,600 per attendee.
